A good workmanlike performance from everyone in blue and black as we embarked on our fifth match and our fifth defensive partnership of the season.  Tobi doned the gloves and our under 14 German came out to shore up our defence with Double J beside him.  We rotated Mitchell, Faith and Nathan W at the base of the diamond.  Both Coby and Joseph settled in to their first full game as a defensive unit and looked comfortable throughout.  Mitchell P put in another box to box performance.  Hayden P added to his goal tally from a Joe R pass as we tried to reply to a 2-1 deficit.  Hayden P was a consent menace to the HHFC back line.  We went in at half time 2-1 down.  Coby wanted to go back in goal so switched with Tobi so we tinkered a bit with Faith M joining Double J at the back.  We quickly conceded to make it 3-1 then a long  pass from Faith M slipped in Ricky F and it was game on.  Tobi gives us that little bit of craft in front of goal and with  2 mins left on the clock and us now 4-2 down he latched onto a Hayden pass to make it 4-3.  Although it was too late in the game to affect the result.


Lots of positives to take from the game.  Joseph's first ever game at the back and he looked superb  throughout.  Coby is as good on pitch as he is in goal.  Mitchell's non-stop running, Ricky finding the back of the net more often and the pass  Faith had plaudits from yet another opposing manager.  Nathan W looks comfortable in defence, midfield and up top and im still unsure of his best position   Another assist for Joe R who also  has great versatility and work ethic .  We were  unlucky  not to  get  more goals after two shots hit the post.  Although I do not want to make a big  issue out of it we all know prior to their winning goal it was a blatant penalty as Ricky was upended in their box.


Today's Players of the Match is Double J and Coby for their trip into the unknown into the defensive partnership. Next week we return to the NILCO ARENA for an 11.15 kick off, Kev Porter will be taking the team as I,m off again to a 70th wedding anniversary uuup Nooorth

leading scorer PAUL  ALLEN!!!!
He has signed a two year deal !! with scout MARK WILLIAMS snapping him up
for his youthfulness!!! once his Achilles injury has healed!!!
Blake was quoted in an interview with sly sports " my people have been talking to there's for a
while but these things take time and there was also disputes over his Roding Park Rangers contract , Who s manager Paul Cochrane was said to be devastated to lose a player who is unbeaten at 11  a side & 5 a side whilst Blake has played !!!!!( I love it don't I  lanes !)
Blake will wear the nearly 50 shirt at the NILCO ARENA !!!!
