Not our best weekend performance wise and definitely not result wise, but if we can learn from Saturday especially. No tracking back from our forward players and not tracking runners on Saturday and ball watching from our defenders and the amount the opposition scored against us didn't flatter them they were easily 5 goals better than us and , will be doing a recovery run session Saturday week and some defending drills concentrating on marking. The Sunday game doesn't really concern me that much I think we were out muscled by a bigger stronger team from a development point of view a tutor once told us on a course don't be sucked into the bigger kids always being better players and to concentrate on technical ability especially when your coaching bigger players .Reason being the big 9 year old may not be bigger at 14/15/16 and he may of got through his younger playing days by physicality rather than skill where as the smaller player can only survive at 9 by being technically good, at 15 they may be the same size now the big nine year old who got through his younger days by being stronger has no advantage that's were the skill of the week comes into play keep practicing and Futsal by nature being a game that produces technical players .Some of ours looked a bit over whelmed by the other teams presence which is understandable I was the same at that age .Two players who didn't have that problem was Coby and Faith who I think kept the score down for us there manager pulled me aside and said Faith was the best player he had seen in this league one of many that have commented on Faiths ability this year .We was unlucky from a great free kick from Mitchel and went close a few times with the big ball!!
Played some nice football in parts but I think the game was won by physicality but not tracking back didn't help our cause , just a game to put down to experience. No game this weekend and the last game of the season on the 12/4/15 vs Parkview but ill be trying to get us some friendlies in Futsal and 7 vs 7 . Futsal is on this Monday but not over the Easter weekend and no training on Saturday
