A fantastic read

t"hey don’t go irate at mistakes and allow for players to develop their decision making, then there is a very good chance you will see a better player. "

###### 2 BHFC BLACK 5

Well that became a bit LIVELY Emoji Again we started off with what looked like we had been up faces night club, till 4 am. the opposition  went ahead, with what looked there first attack of the game, and after the second goal , which I must say was nicely worked and smashed in by the number 6 with power and accuracy leaving the German no chance at all. I could say at half time me and Kev game them the hair dryer treatment (ill let the dads explain that) or threw tea cups about, but it was just a talk to change tactics, move a few players about, and to find our passing rhythm which had been gravely lacking in the first half. The 2nd half was always going to be an up hill battle ( excuse the pun ) Emoji . Personally I thought some of the tackles should of been nipped in the bud by the ref early on, but its a hard job, I said my piece and will leave the matter closed . Footballing wise in the 2nd half  I think we tore them apart with every player playing there part, Nathan , Tobi , Hayden going forward twisting and turning, going inside outside was a joy to watch. Joe Regan overlapping on the left hand side, Mitchel (who passed a late fitness test ) !!!!!!!!! held the middle of the pitch superbly, and once again we were held together by  the unselfish, unflappable rock of Nathan W, Will Packer linked up superbly with the rest of the team, you would of never of thought it was only his 2nd game for us . Coby I think was mostly un tested but his punch out in the second half nearly reached the half way line and his ability to kick from his penalty area  into the oppositions box is always going to cause teams trouble. Three years of rotating positions yesterday became very handy, Ricky , Toby , Nathan and Hayden if you noticed all played in defence, midfield, and centre forward and everyone of them looked comfortable. All said and done man of the match for me was Hayden , his work rate and game changing performance further up the pitch was superb, I think we was also unlucky not to get a hat rick. Well done to William P on his debut for BLACK last week 3 goals on your debut is a very nice way to start, think Will is going to enjoy playing at Buckhurst Hill. Bit of an  announcement, I always do what I think is right for the team and the club and Nathan W will captain the team on a permanent basis, his organisational skills, work rate, unselfish team play and not forgetting he is a really good player were the factors that have led me to this decision , running in parallel with this Faith will become Club captain again the same reasons as Nathan led to this decision  they will both be the link between me and Kev and the rest of the team and will have input on organisation/ training and match day tasks  . Well done Nathan & Faith  . Ill speak to Laura but hopefully Faith will be back next week, Tobi will be on international duty & we may have to rest one other if Faith returns. Futsal tonight , training on Saturday (something a bit different ) usual time and place .On Tuesday I signed up for the FA  youth module 3 and if passed is the highest grade in the youth coaching pathway for kids aged 5-11, baring one specifically for academy coaches .Thank you to everyone who attended the private coaching sessions I did over the summer, the money raised from these sessions helps to pay for these courses and of course the more knowledge I acquire can then be passed on to the players .  My partner in crime Dave  "gola  elite Durham" will also be on the course, im looking forward to seeing his new pink bootsEmojiEmojiEmojiEmoji   . Home match this Sunday,

First game of the season BHFC 1- ##### 2

Couldn't of asked for a better reaction after a few suspect displays of late. Me &  Kev  asked the boys to tighten up at the back especially with Faith being out injured. The wing back option that we started to play at the end of last season looked a good system for us ,with the amount of attacking players we have in the team, after 3 years of rotating positions  everyone including Coby is capable of playing in defence .I explained if a player on the flank or Nathan has space in the middle of the pitch exploit it and attack, the trade off is the other two must come in and cover the middle of the pitch , or failing that a midfield player drops in . I read a lot of coaches saying you cant teach kids tactics at u/10, I strongly disagree, its all about forming good habits and of course what the coaches philosophy is on the game. I recently watched an u/10 team play at the BHFC tournament where I watched two lets say large players playing at the back for a team, when they got the ball it was boooom up pitch.!!!
Maybe that is the coaches philosophy !!. Thank you coach for developing our next generation of players comfortable with the ball at there feet !! .Safe option for the coach, he may not lose many games !! but is that great for developing players ???.On that point one part of the game I watched Coby have the ball at his feet a little fake to off  balance the on coming player and it was nicely played out to Tobi .Coby may do that another time & the player nicks it and puts it in the back of the net :) , big deal , this is u/10 football not the champions league final, the other option is row z, im happy with the option Coby chose. Another nice little piece of magic was Tobi,s  Maradona in the middle of the pitch, great to see they are all comfortable with these little pieces of skill that they can execute without a coach or a parent shouting out "not in there" or "get rid of it "!!
Back to the game a commanding performance from  Nathan W at the back, playing an old fashioned sweeper role, as always selfless in his play, always for the team never for himself. Think Andrew Fig had loaded Ricky up with Weetabix , "the Fig chased every ball, same again next week "FIG"!!
Good news with the signing of William Packer, my pen was out within 60 seconds of watching him, hope he will enjoy playing with the MIGHTY BLACKS , hopefully he will be available for the weekend. So a loss but the game could of gone either way, we had our chances, but all in all, was pleased with the way we played again, rotation of positions.
We go again next week.
