Well that became a bit LIVELY Again we started off with what looked like we had been up faces night club, till 4 am. the opposition went ahead, with what looked there first attack of the game, and after the second goal , which I must say was nicely worked and smashed in by the number 6 with power and accuracy leaving the German no chance at all. I could say at half time me and Kev game them the hair dryer treatment (ill let the dads explain that) or threw tea cups about, but it was just a talk to change tactics, move a few players about, and to find our passing rhythm which had been gravely lacking in the first half. The 2nd half was always going to be an up hill battle ( excuse the pun ) . Personally I thought some of the tackles should of been nipped in the bud by the ref early on, but its a hard job, I said my piece and will leave the matter closed . Footballing wise in the 2nd half I think we tore them apart with every player playing there part, Nathan , Tobi , Hayden going forward twisting and turning, going inside outside was a joy to watch. Joe Regan overlapping on the left hand side, Mitchel (who passed a late fitness test ) !!!!!!!!! held the middle of the pitch superbly, and once again we were held together by the unselfish, unflappable rock of Nathan W, Will Packer linked up superbly with the rest of the team, you would of never of thought it was only his 2nd game for us . Coby I think was mostly un tested but his punch out in the second half nearly reached the half way line and his ability to kick from his penalty area into the oppositions box is always going to cause teams trouble. Three years of rotating positions yesterday became very handy, Ricky , Toby , Nathan and Hayden if you noticed all played in defence, midfield, and centre forward and everyone of them looked comfortable. All said and done man of the match for me was Hayden , his work rate and game changing performance further up the pitch was superb, I think we was also unlucky not to get a hat rick. Well done to William P on his debut for BLACK last week 3 goals on your debut is a very nice way to start, think Will is going to enjoy playing at Buckhurst Hill. Bit of an announcement, I always do what I think is right for the team and the club and Nathan W will captain the team on a permanent basis, his organisational skills, work rate, unselfish team play and not forgetting he is a really good player were the factors that have led me to this decision , running in parallel with this Faith will become Club captain again the same reasons as Nathan led to this decision they will both be the link between me and Kev and the rest of the team and will have input on organisation/ training and match day tasks . Well done Nathan & Faith . Ill speak to Laura but hopefully Faith will be back next week, Tobi will be on international duty & we may have to rest one other if Faith returns. Futsal tonight , training on Saturday (something a bit different ) usual time and place .On Tuesday I signed up for the FA youth module 3 and if passed is the highest grade in the youth coaching pathway for kids aged 5-11, baring one specifically for academy coaches .Thank you to everyone who attended the private coaching sessions I did over the summer, the money raised from these sessions helps to pay for these courses and of course the more knowledge I acquire can then be passed on to the players . My partner in crime Dave "gola elite Durham" will also be on the course, im looking forward to seeing his new pink boots . Home match this Sunday,
